Today I had noodles for breakfast, frozen yogurt and four free cookies from Harris Teeter for lunch, and broccoli and chocolate-covered cheesecake for dinner.

I wore a tanktop that is super tight and hugs every crevice of my flabby belly and I wore it in public and I didn't cross my arms or wear a vest or anything.  No one gave me a weird look or told me I should be ashamed of my hideous weight or even cared what I was wearing.

Also this icon is irrelevant but it's my favorite thing ever.  I am also the proud owner of an .avi of the toofthBRUSH video.

DO YOUR ICONS MAKE A STATEMENT: They're in order of when I liked them, which I find funny. And my oldest and newest icons are weirdly synchronised, don't you think?
WHAT FANDOM DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF:  I could thirteen for Doctor Who (not including Torchwood and David Tennant)
AND THE SECOND MOST: Les Mis! There are about nine, not counting one with Victor Hugo.
WHAT SHIP DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: Well, since I only have one icon for each ship, it's a tie.
DO YOU MAKE ICONS: Only when I feel the need for a new one.
ARE THEY ANY GOOD: WHY YES. I find them wonderful.
ANIMATED ICONS ARE: Potentially hilarious.

I was trying to make an animated Roi Soleil icon (aka I am killing time between shifts at work) and it seemed like the .gif was being really slow.  So I kept changing the frame rate, but slow it remained.  So I finally just gave up and decided to upload it as an icon.

Once it was out of the slow grasp of my apparently very slow computer, it looked like this:

I don't know why, but I just can't stop laughing.  I saved it as "OOOOOHLALALALALALALA" because in my head I'm hearing him sing that REALLY FAST and REALLY LOUD.

PS I'm the kind of person who thinks sped-up videos on youtube are comedy gold.

(Go Christophe go!)

ETA: I've slowed it down to a more human speed, but I don't think I love it as much this way.  Oh dear oh dear.

(Do I sound as sleep-deprived as I am?  Yes?  Good.)

So, I'm staying in this mega-nice "cabin" (psht yeah right... it's bigger than my HOUSE) in Martha's Vineyard with my family for my uncle's wedding... I'm horrified to find that one of my newly incousinated cousins is in fact incredibly attractive.  Yeah, how hick am I right now?  Well, doesn't matter... it's late and I'm exhausted, but I just kind of wanted to use my newly-uploaded Eleven icon.  It is my first and so far only icon for anything outside of RTD-era.  Mostly because I don't love the new series as much... yet?  Hopefully yet.  Hopefully someday Eleven will have a companion whose acting doesn't make me cringe or roll my eyes.  So far, Rory is my only hope, and he dies in every episode anyway.  I know Rusty was ridiculous (VERY ridiculous) but I just miss the heart he brought the show--especially in short-lived characters like Ross and Harriet Jones and Chantho.  Ah well.  I know I don't miss the outlandish series finales or the whiny angst of the Doctor.  Moff will catch on eventually... I mean, everyone adores Sally Sparrow, right?  And... Jack.  But not so much River Song... I mean, she was cooler there towards the end of series five than I ever thought she would be, but... oh well.  This is very stream-of-consciousness.  I need a Prince Poppycock icon.  He's my hero right now.  If you don't know who Prince Poppycock is... omg.  Google him at once!  Okay, I'm going to crash now.  This bed is SO CUSHY.  But the air conditioning isn't really kicking in and that makes me nervous.  I like to sleep in freezing climes.  Ooh livejournal has a new tagging method!  I like it.

There was such an influx of Twilight mockery in my weekend that I've decided it's time for a linkspam.

An Epic Review of the Entire Series

Growing Up Cullen parts one and two (though everyone's pretty much seen that)

A Twilight Movie script parody

Mockery of THE TRAILER ALONE (and well-deserved)

A cartoon summary of the second book

And, of course, the last two minutes of this interview:

lol Robert Pattinson.

Also, we watched the commentary with Bella and Edward and the director, and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen.  I have never laughed so hard in my life.  I'm going to assume Robert Pattinson was high or something.

And then I got inspired to make some icons.

Hurr.  Nothing epic, but you know.  Icons.

My icon and I just jumped onto a bandwagon...

Speaking of icons, I've added more AND cleaned up the HTML on my site with my newfound skillz.

And hey look!  New moodtheme!
Okay, that's a lie, but seriously.  Watch the icon.  I made it really quickly to commemorate seeing (part of) my favourite SNL skit rerunning today on E.  I made it really fast.  But it's the longest icon in the worrrrrrld.

The plan was to pick me up at 1pm.  But this morning my lovely friends woke me up and said, "You know you have to be out of the dorm by 10, right?"  I looked at the clock.  It was 9:53.  I deemed this NOT GOOD.  So I called my dad who agreed to leave right away (college is only a half-hour from home) and I immediately started running around throwing things into suitcases.  I didn't even get dressed.  When I realised I needed shoes on but had already packed the ones I wanted, I tugged on rainboots.  That's right.  I moved out of my dorm this morning in a long shirt, scrubs, and rain boots.  Hawt.

But it all worked out and I got home and had some Quizno's and went back to sleep.  And then work.  And then I watched the series finale of Merlin.

Merlinnnnnn.  I seriously did not see that ending coming.  I was so pleased.  I'm going to miss that show.  Thank goodness they've signed on for series two!

Also, Amy Poehler will be missed on SNL.  *sigh*

AND THE I.T. CROWD ACTUALLY MENTIONED RICHMOND AVENAL THIS WEEK!  I freaked out and had to pause it and squeal for a few minutes.  Then I was so distracted I had to start the whole thing over again.  "Where IS Richmond?"  "...he got SCURVY."  Oh my gosh, that show amazes me every week.
Well, so far I've only written about a thousand words today (NaNo recommends 1667 per day, though I did, happily, exceed that yesterday) but I'm still kinda working on it. I just thought I'd go ahead and post while I was procrastinating. It's about time to introduce the boys, so I'm almost nervous.

Look I have a new default icon! I love that dress. Staring at the poster for The Duchess (which I never saw and don't really mind) over at the cinema was, I'm pretty sure, where Sophie was born. I. LOVE. THAT. DRESS. I don't care about Keira Knightley or the movie, but that dress... I fangirl it. Lookit those panniers!

So, creative writing. I think my big giant end-of-the-class project is due, like, Tuesday, and I got nothin. I don't really want to write about Sophie and the boys because I'm NaNo-ing with them and writing a short story with them would confuse me. Unless I recycled that boys' first kiss story I wrote for my own evil purposes, but it's not about Sophie AT ALL. And I think the short story is supposed to be about Sophie. Screw it. My other thought is recycling a fanfic. How crap is it that I put so much work into the little assignments, but when it comes to the grand finale I'm so tied up in NaNo that I start considering recycling a fanfic? Just, you know, changing the names of the characters... If I did that it'd be a toss-up between the Cosette/Monty rapey one and the Fantine one. I dunno. All that matters about the short story is that the protagonist change somehow. I actually kinda like the idea of using the kissy one, but I'm kinda ashamed of the actual kissing. I can write whatever I jolly well please on the internetz because I'm kinda anonymous, but then in class I get more concerned about it. Which is weirdly hilarious because you internet folk know me a billion times better than any of my classmates. Weird.

I can't stop staring at this icon. If I were to ever become a massive gayist it'd be for a dress like that. PANNIERS.

Oh! I was already thinking about next Halloween. It's fun to be something people recognise, but I kinda wanna be Chantho. I was watching Utopia today. I've never seen anyone do a Chantho costume, and if I could pull it off it'd be epic. I ADORE Chantho for some reason. I don't know how I could get those face feeler-y things to move, though.

And, finally, rl.
I'm back home for the day because my mom wanted my help putting together a picture slideshow thing for Granny's funeral. She's still alive, but they've moved her to a hospice home. You know that scene in The Mighty Boosh Live where Naboo is on the table, dying, and Bollo keeps thinking he's dead and covering his face and then Naboo's like "What're you doin?" and Bollo uncovers his face? And it's like "Ya... no. Yeah! No. Yeah. No." forEVER? And finally Bollo gets tired of it and just finishes it off himself? Yeah, I'm considering watching Peep Show tonight. For my family's sake.

OH! But I want to tell you. My dad said the greatest thing. I kinda said earlier that she was my favourite and I was pretty sure I was her favourite, but I didn't *really* know if that was true. Well, my dad says in her wallet there were two pictures: one of her with all of her sisters, and one of me. She has four other grandchildren, but I was right! I'm the favourite. Yay. It's mutual, though, I adore my Granny.

Awesomeness contained within. )

Okay, enough of that.  This post is too long and I've flooded your flist.  Back to my NaNo!

ETA: Well, that's that.  She went on without the help of Peep Show.  I might cry some more.
No that is not a crack pairing.

Just wanted to say my hallmates and I, the Nuts... watched The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning today just for lulz, but it actually turned out to be a decent movie.  We were all shocked and impressed.

See for yourself!

And secondly, yay another new icon!  I have borderline unlimited icon space, beeyotch.

Oct. 10th, 2008 12:58 am
I has a Pushing Daisies icon Pushing Daisies icon yay!
I caved and paid for an account.  And then sprung for the extra icon space.  It's my way of giving back to lj, which gives me tons and tons and tons of stuff.  Mostly telly shows.

*runs about like a child dizzy on lemonade*

lesmisloony: (amazing Richmond)
Wait, you say!  Didn't I see this same exact post yesterday?
Why no, silly!  For I have updated it and given it twice as many pictures.  Oh yes.

Okay. So, I was IM'ing with [ profile] capnspaulding32 and I started spamming her with Noel Fielding pictures. And I KNOW she doesn't care, but I was like OMG THIS IS PURTY. So now, to give her a break, I decided to just spam YOU lovely people.

And even if you have no idea who I'm talking about, just click the cut. Because he is very pretty, okay? Trust me on this.  I'm lesmisloony, and I approve this picspam.  That I made.

She wishes her boyfriend looked more like... )
Also I'm in the middle of another massive icon shakeup.  I think I'm gonna replace my little waving Doctor for an Old Gregg icon I have that says "Hi there."  And I might actually bring myself to replace that Amadeus icon with a Tennant icon that says "ded of lulz."  As for right now, I chucked the "made of awesome" Nine icon for this Richmond "Do I amaze you?" one, and I've thrown out that crappy "this is relevant to my interests" Noel Fielding icon and replaced it with Donna and the Doctor poking at the screen.  *nods*  Just thought everyone should know.
Also, I have a crush on my Richmond icon at the moment.  *stares*  Yes, Richmond, you amaze me.

ETA: This is what Noel Fielding has to say about his own looks:
I never did that badly with women when I wasn't on telly, but it's a bit out of control now. Women try it on with me more than I'm comfortable with. It's strange, because I think I look like a troll wearing a woman's wig backwards.
