I never did get Free Time, but I *did* like Seasons: it's nice to have rain and snow, and seasons for planting vegetables. Not to mention I get a kick out of watching the Sims passing out from heatstroke/hypothermia.
Strangely enough, I find The Sims 2's architectural tools to be superior to The Sims 3.
