This was actually quite cathartic to read! For most of my early teen years I tried to be elitist as possible - just to look good - and it got to the point where I always looked down on popular "trash" that I did really want to enjoy. While my taste in music can be a little pretentious still, I think, I freely admit that I too can blast Gaga any day without guilt.
