There is peanut butter but apparently it's expensive and gross. One of the first things my host mother ever said to me was "Did you bring any peanut butter with you?" while eyeing my bulging suitcase. So I had my mom send some Jif over here. My host sister flipped her top when that stuff came in the mail. She would sit at the dinner table and just hold the jar.
