Oh, no big deal.

Girl on the Florum won two free tickets and backstage passes to see MOR this weekend in Strasbourg and gave one to me just because I run the Florum.  You know, the usual.

Sent one of those fannish friend requests to Patrice Maktav on facebook and he responded by going through my pictures liking and commenting on things that related to my love of him and Da Ponte.  So yeah, not that exciting.

The photo he liked there, by the way, was of the note I gave him at curtain call in Lille.  WHICH IS IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ALBUM THAN THE PHOTO HE COMMENTED ON.


Since then one of my friends answered with the link and Jacinta then posted links to all the parodies.  Next time Patrice Maktav gets on facebook he's gonna be a little overwhelmed by how much crazy is coming at him.

Because in Amnéville I kinda got the impression that my jumping out and asking him for a floto made him a little uncomfortable but CLEARLY he is fine with me and it was just his shyness because he likes that I got a backstage pass LOLOLOL PATRICE MAKTAV LIKING MY STATUS WHAT IS MY LIFE

But you know.  No big deal.  I'm chill.

When I saw his comment on my picture I threw myself backwards across my bed and just laughed hysterically for a really long time. And later I noticed he had liked my status and literally THREW my laptop, but it luckily landed on my bed.

Fans friend these guys all the time, so I just didn't expect anything to come of it. But I guess I'm not too surprised, since my profile picture IS me holding up Doll Ponte and Woolfgang and making a silly face, so I guess he'd remember that American who knitted him a dolly of himself. I'm delighted and flattered now that most of the shame has worn off--anyway, the worst thing he might have seen was me keyboard smashing about my love of Flo... oh, and a recent conversation I had about how Maktav looks really lost in the C'est bientôt la fin clip...

Yeah no I learned yesterday that I can never send Flostique a friend request. It will make my head explode within four minutes.

Since this anonymous comment almost appears to have been written by a person and not a spambot of some kind, I'm going to have to assume it's from a member of the Troupe. Clearly not Flo, since he would make a little bit more sense... so who could it be? Maktav, my favourite facebook stalker? Mikele, who managed to remember me in Amnéville? Merwan, who suddenly wants another clown doll?

Quite an odd comment. That could be anyone, not necessarily a member of the cast etc. You never know with the internet, so just be careful!

Hello! Not to sound like a stalker (and I certainly did not post that comment above...), but I have liked your YouTube videos, etc., for some time. I actually discovered "Elisabeth" through your "misheard lyrics" video...and now I annoy everyone around me with it.

Resounding yes!! I love it when people appear on lj like this for real. When I saw a new name on a comment notification I got outlandishly excited.

Also, now that we're lj buds I believe you can click the presents tag on my journal and find things that might perhaps further your flobsession and ability to be a MOR fan. :D There are Máté things too, further back. From the days when I was capable of talking and thinking about things other than MOR, that is.

I followed your advice! Merci beaucoup! Step 1- Immersion/Education in Matters Concerning Flo: initiated. Wow, that man is awesome.

(And obsessions over things like this are okay. I remember when I wouldn't stop talking about Les Miserables. My family was really close to kicking me out, I think...)
