Knitting and a meme.

lesmisloonyI feel like I haven't posted in FOREVER. Mostly because today was entirely spent knitting and knitting and knitting. Well, except for the one part where I played the piano (Les Mis conductor's score FTW!) and the other part where my family and I went out to this weird steak joint and then I ran by Michael's and got some pretty blue Lion Brand yarn for MOAR KNITTING. It's almost Christmas and that means OMG KNITTING. Because of my tendency to knit presents for everyone and my other tendency to procrastinate. And I crochet a few bits here and there, but I hate crochet cos I feel quite faily at it. I was going to save this icon for the day I eventually post the pictures of my lil Old Gregg and Hitcher dollies, but it sums up how I feel so perfectly that I shall debut it now. BUT! I finished the little racist-looking mariachi dude for my uncle who lives in Texas and is weirdly obsessed with Mexico! Meaning, since I don't have to do that complicated thing I had planned for my Granny (though to be fair, I sure wish I had reason to do it...) I've only got two gifts left! A prayer shawl and a creepy puppy doll with a State jersey on. 'Course, then I found out since my dad's side of the family is still broken up over losing Granny (as am I. I think about her every day and have come near tears at least twice this week. Oh my gosh I love her so much.) that half the people I wasted time knitting presents for aren't even coming in this year and I've gotta mail them their presents. I've decided I'm gonna start my friends' presents either after Christmas or after I finish the family presents, whichever comes first.
BUT! I found some late-night time to start work on another movie summary for ff.net. This one is the Lino Ventura Valjean movie, the 1982 miniseries where Montparnasse is a giant Gavroche and Javert looks like Mrs. Trunchbull. I'm halfway through part one of mah recap.

01. What are your nicknames?
Loony? That's self-imposed. And since I tend to call my roommate Molls (or Slagathor) she's begun to call me Errs.
02. How do you style your hair?
well, since I've now got ~*side-swept bangs*~ I tend to have to straighten it. But on days I don't want to do this I either put a giant clip on one side or wear a hat.
03. What's new in your life right now?
My mom brought me a bunch of awesome jewelry from my Granny's house. I like enormous earrings already, and now I have some excellent necklaces to go with. But I'd rather have my Granny. I've been angsting a lot over her lately. Probably because I'm home for Christmas and I know that house down the street is sitting empty.
04. How many colours are you wearing now?
I've got my faded blue-ish nightshirt with a yellow and blue pattern on it and some pinkish underwear, so four or five.
05. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Um. I dunno. Neither or both? I like to be alone and do my own thing, but I also like being surrounded by mah peeps. Especially May Contain Nuts and my Btown crew.
06. What are you doing while filling out this meme?
sitting in bed. With headphones on but no noise coming from them. I was recapping the '82 movie a second ago.
07. Do you nap a lot?
No? But I have a tendency to stay up till ridiculous times and then sleep till 11. Or, lately, sleep till the early afternoon.
08. If the person you secretly like is already taken, what would you do?
Angst about it. Stalk him. But I'm currently only taken with Mr David Tennant, ta very much, and he's not only possibly taken but also nearly twenty years older than me.
09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Um, have you gotten the impression at all that I miss my Granny? A lot?
10. What's your favorite dessert?
probably mango gelato, but I've been craving banana pudding lately for some reason. Or ice cream sandwiches! I luh those.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Depends. Am I showering and straightening my hair and going somewhere? An hour and a half. Am I rolling out of bed, putting on a hat, and dragging my sorry self to class? Five minutes.
12. What websites do you visit daily?
yahoo, facebook, my flist, MdN, Abaisse, in that order. Then, if I get bored, passiveaggressivenotes.com, photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com, and cakewrecks.blogspot.com.
13. Do you ever think about the race of the people on your flist (who you've never met in real life)?
no? I think about their nationality sometimes, especially since I'm an American all up in these British fandoms.
14. Do you like to clean?

15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
that hilarious tune from the Twilight movie that's playing when Bella's all upset Edward isn't coming to school. There's, like, a chorus voice going "Huh-uh huh-uh HUH-uh huhhhh!" It's HYSTERICAL. The Nuts know what I'm talking about. XD
16. What's the last DVD you bought?
Hmm. I guess it was... wow, I haven't bought DVD's in a long time. It used to be my big thing: get paid, run straight to WalMart or Best Buy and blow it all on a new DVD... Oh! It was Enchanted! See, I remember.
17. Have you ever done anything not many people have?
probably? For starters, how many of you knitted a mariachi guy today?
18. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
mango gelato. I don't like ice cream ice cream, but froyo is pretty sweet. I guess Oreo, if I had to pick an actual ice cream.
19. Best time of your life?
Wow. Either one of those New York trips or this past semester. Isn't that weird? I made the worst grades I've ever made in my life, my Granny died, but because of my hallmates and Slagathor it was still an amazing semester.
20. What are you most looking forward to in the coming month?
I guess that'd be Christmas. But I'm also kind of dreading it. Guess why!
